M E E T T H E T E A M
Dr. Freedle graduated from UC Irvine in 1981, where he received his bachelor's degree in biology. After moving to the Northwest, he received his doctoral degree in optometry from Pacific University in 1985. He joined the Tigard practice in 1990, where the doctors have seen steady growth through the 90s and beyond. Dr. Freedle currently practices at both our Tigard and Barbur Boulevard clinic locations. If you are considering LASIK surgery, Dr. Freedle is knowledgeable and supportive of this wonderful tool for better vision. His hobbies include skiing, cycling, windsurfing, travel, and cars.

Ann Slocum-Edmonds, O.D. attended UC Irvine alongside Dr. Freedle and received her doctoral degree in optometry in 1989 from the New England College of Optometry, Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Edmonds held positions as a clinical instructor at Pacific University College of Optometry and City University, London, England. As president of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity and co-founder of Oregon Vision Coalition, Dr. Edmonds has coordinated and led vision care missions in Oregon, Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, Chile, Albania, Peru, Kenya, and El Salvador. Dr. Edmonds is a three time Humanitarian Service Award recipient from Pacific University Amigos Student Organization. She has lived and practiced in Oregon since 1989 and spends her free time with her husband and two boys.

What insurance do you accept?

We accept most vision insurance plans with a few notable exceptions. Contact your insurance provider to verify coverage before scheduling. Please note that vision insurance differs from health insurance. We bill insurance as a courtesy, and unfortunately, we cannot guarantee payment.

We require visitors and staff to wear a mask over the mouth and nose for the entire time that they are in the office. Please consult our staff for safety measures before trying on frames. Frames are sanitized with UV light between uses. Surfaces and equipment are cleaned between patients.

Please bring any eyewear or contacts. An actual prescription is also helpful. If you wish to update your contact lens prescription, ideally please wear your contacts to your appointment.

Please provide 24 hrs notice for cancellations. Our Saturday hours are by appointment only. Please provide 48 hrs notice for Saturday cancellations.
